Google Nexus 5 still in use

Since the last post about my smartphone several things changed. Cyanogenmod got replaced by Lineage OS –> https://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/orig-development/rom-lineageos-16-0-nexus-5-t3921162, camera/camera-software within Cyanogenmod for Nexus 5 showed me its limitations and a bunch of new smartphones got released. Although, if I compare the new smarts in a quick shoot-out I am still fine with the HDR+ on the Nexus 5. OK, slow, sometimes inaccurate AF, no nightmode, no tele- nor wide-lense etc. but still for my purposes a solid shooter. To cut a long story short, the best platform for using the camera of the nexus 5 at its best is still stock android (imhp). Unfortunately on an unsupported stage since years.

Anyway, Android is not iOS and so many people are still on old versions instead of the latest. Many, nearly all apps still work on android 6 or even on older versions of the Android family. Just changing the launcher may give your phone a fresh and useful style and could even save some processing resources as well as support your daily tasks. (Nova, Evie, Smart Launcher @ Playstore)

And finally tweaking your system a bit may benefit your device-experience. For example switching off the animations in developer mode, Getting rid of unused apps or exchange resource intensive ones with light versions of them. (eg. maps vs maps go etc.)
